Archipelagos Hotel Mykonos
I haven’t really been stuck for words since I started my blog… But as it happens, on this particular post about Mykonos that I am.
I have recently been lucky enough to travel to Mykonos, which is probably most bloggers dream come true.
There is just something so magical about the whole place but I wanted to write this blog post about one place in particular… The Archipelagos Hotel, a calm little oasis which has stolen my heart.
Situated just 20 minutes away from the main town, in a little place called Kalo Livadi. We decided to stay here based on the pictures we’d seen and reviews (of course) and lets just say we were not disappointed.
From the minute we arrived the staff couldn’t do enough for us. We were served freshly squeezed lemonade upon arrival and made to feel special from the offset.
Our room was perfect with views over the sea, we sat many nights watching the sunset from our terrace with a chilled glass of wine before heading into town to eat.
Some nights we didn’t eat in Mykonos itself and decided to stay at Archipelagos for dinner, again we were far from disappointed. The food was amazing, the menu was small but this was good because it gave us chance to taste most dishes during our stay. All the ingredients were fresh and locally grown and the dishes were well thought out.
Just a 5 minute walk away was the beautiful sandy Solymar Beach which we visited on most days after breakfast to walk it off!
Breakfast here is something that dreams are made of. Perfect for those who want to eat clean but also lots of selection for those who want that fresh cooked breakfast. The selection was amazing and we never came away hungry.
All in all I’m so glad we picked this hotel, we will certainly return.
It was truly magical from the moment we arrived, and finished off by a surprise proposal, so this place holds many happy memories for me, and we will always have Mykonos.
